Is Mahjong Elite free?
Yes. The game is free to download and play. Optional in-app purchases offer coins and an ad-free upgrade.
What does the ad-free upgrade remove?
It removes the full-screen ads that play between levels. Rewarded ads stay available, but they only play when you choose to watch one for an extra reward.
How is it different from classic mahjong solitaire?
Instead of picking pairs directly on the board, you tap free tiles into a 4-slot tray, and matching tiles clear from there. It keeps the classic layouts but adds a layer of planning.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Yes. Solo levels work offline, and your progress syncs automatically when you reconnect. VS duels, leaderboards and claiming some rewards need a connection.
Do I need an account?
No. The game creates an anonymous player profile for you, so there is nothing to sign up for.
